Ventura College will present its Guitar Ensemble in a concert with many interesting pieces that many people have not heard before.
Nine guitars playing is a melody that not many have heard, and this is an event that not many have seen before with its unique arrangement.
Professor Carlos Gonzalez, Music Director at VC, hopes that the music will be unlike traditional music and feels students will be surprised by the technicality of it.
"It's going to be multiple guitars playing together, duet, trio and up to nine guitars at once," said Gonzalez.
The concert will feature students in Professor Gonzalez's class who play the unusual blend of classical music with nine guitars, which not many have had the opportunity to hear.
Any music lovers that enjoy classical music will definitely enjoy this rare event showcasing students from VC.
The concert will be held on Dec. 2 at 8 p.m. in Guthrie Hall on the Ventura College Campus and the concert is free to the public.
