Oxnard College students have the opportunity to make a child’s holiday by donating to the Tenth-Annual Community Market Toy Drive.
The toy drive is hosted by the Oxnard College Foundation, the Oxnard Student Tuners Car Club and the Community Market vendors, who will have a box outside the Condor Café for any new unwrapped toys students would like to donate.
“We try to make the kids happy for a day,” said Community Market Manager Elio Lopez.
The Oxnard College Foundation will be collecting toys up until Dec. 17. The toys collected will then be distributed at the Community Market on Dec. 19 and 20 by an honored guest.
“Santa and his elves will be there to distribute the toys,” said Community Development and Institutional Advancement Specialist Connie Owens. “They’re very generous. (They) make sure everyone gets a toy.”
