As the first note of the bagpipe struck the air, the crowd exploded with cheers and applause.
Bagpipers Bill Boetticher and Wally Boggess led the parade commencing Multicultural Day, performing "Scotland the Brave."
The parade ended on the quad stage where they were greeted by the day's emcee, Brooke Fiss, 20.
"I just can't get enough of it [bagpipes], it just makes me wanna wear a skirt too…a plaid one," said Fiss.
The pair performed traditional pieces such as "Suo Gan," a Welsh lullaby, and "Amazing Grace" to an audience of Moorpark College students, faculty, staff, child development center children and guests of the college.
Boetticher and Boggess are members of the Gold Coast Pipe Band of Camarillo, founded in 1999. They have played the bagpipes at Multicultural Day for 14 years.
"We really enjoy doing this," Boetticher said.
The Gold Coast Pipe band will compete amongst other bands at the Seaside Games held at the Ventura County Fairgrounds in the beginning of October.
