In an upcoming performance, James Song and the Moorpark College Symphony Orchestra will be presenting their rendition of Sergei Prokofiev's classic composition "Peter and the Wolf."
The show will be narrated by David Ralphe, Director of the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center, and will also include other complimentary performances.
Guitar enthusiasts will be delighted to hear Moorpark's own Jordan Charnofsky, performing a classical guitar piece for his first time as a part of the Moorpark College Symphony Orchestra.
The orchestra will also be performing Brandenberg Concerto No. 2, showcasing the talents of some of the finest musicians in the ensemble.
The show will be geared so that audiences of all ages and walks of life can get an exciting and satisfying experience.
The performance is the first of two separate orchestra performances that will take place during the semester, the latter featuring compositions taken from Steve Lopez's novel "The Soloist," which has been adapted into major motion picture.

"Peter and the Wolf" will be in the Performing Arts Center on the Main Stage at 8 p.m. on Feb. 27. For more information or to buy tickets, contact the Moorpark College box office at (805) 378-1485.
